What can I do? It’s a common question we hear in response to racial events that show up in the news and occur in our own communities.
Reframing Racism provides an opportunity for people to build a foundational understanding around equity, diversity and inclusion and understand their role in advancing this work within their personal and professional communities.
During this training series, participants will:
- Explore how race was constructed
- Build common language around equity, diversity and inclusion
- Analyze current events
- Learn new tools to support in the advancement of this work
- Connect with others and participate in a learning community
This workshop will include:
- Facilitated dialogue and discussion
- Experiential learning activities
- Assigned readings and viewings
Training and racial affinity group sessions occur online via Zoom
CEI will gladly issue PDUs via CEI certificate for educators. Participants must work with district and TSPC to verify acceptance.
