What do you do?

Managing Partner and Principal Consultant

What do you do at the Center?

I am a managing partner and a principal consultant.

But what do you really do?

In my position I’m provided the opportunity to work with partner organizations, school districts, foundations and community leaders to strategically and urgently advance equity and inclusion efforts. I also have the great fortune to work with and support the amazing team we have assembled at the Center; together we are focused on building a thriving organization that models the principles of equity and inclusion internally while providing the highest level of services externally.

But what do I really do? I work with executive teams, coach CEO’s or top level executives in organizations on the facilitation side. Internally, I help develop our programs, hang with our staff, and support our executive team in figuring out how to keep the Center's doors open!

And what’s your story? As in, what makes you tick?

Nothing drives me more than being a father of color. My daughter Amina motivates me everyday to do my part in cultivating spaces in which she can thrive. I am also deeply passionate about learning. I love the way this work constantly pushes me to grow both personally and professionally.

What’s rewarding about working at the Center?

Hands down, it is the people. I love getting to be in relationships with such an amazing group of human beings. Work feels more like community to me at the Center. I have always thrived in community.
